[ Val turns up almost exactly on time—were it somewhere he hadn't been before, with someone he hadn't already reason to trust, he'd have turned up far earlier, but he doesn't feel the need this time. When he arrives, he looks until he spots Kyle and raises a hand in greeting as he walks over. ]
